• Hillel's statement on Dr. Pino's recent comments

Hillel at Kent State joins the Kent State University in condemning the repeated hate rhetoric of faculty member Dr. Julio Pino. His reprehensible comments harm our university and create a divisive and harmful atmosphere for the students and the entire Kent State community by creating a toxic environment which is closed to the free exchange of ideas. We commend the University administration for their strong statement in speaking up against this vile hate speech in order to uphold the integrity of our academic institution.

As members of our community are understandably upset by this display of hatred, we remind you that the Hillel staff are available to any student or community member who seeks support or a safe place to discuss these troubling events.
